Lyrics
There's a Paper Boy sitting on my steps, He's clawing at the door
His head is damp and there's tears along his arms, but he just asks for more
He just dodges all the sticks and stones they throw to break his back
But now it pours and there's no more Paper Boy coming back
The paper Boy is sitting on my chair, explaining where he's been
The tears are wide as he tries to hide the tears escaping him
We watch the rain fall from beyond the door as i try to tape him up
Fixing the tears so he's aware that this is where he belongs
Paper Boy sits beside the phone, waiting for a ring
The tape on his arms can hide the scars but not the pain he felt within
With no one to call he starts to fall and there's a crumble and a crack
I dont think that the old Paper Boy's coming back
I'm worried about Paper Boy, he's crumpled and he's teared
I keep trying to cheer him up but i dont think that hes all there
Today i walked into my room and in the centre there i saw
Paper Boy, torn apart, in a pile, on the floor
I dont think i can help him anymore
