Have you, by chance, checked the sweaters?

Did any of them shrink in the wash?

Did you have the time to check your sweaters?

If any of them discoloured

We shall bring them to the parish

Synthetic fibres that cause irritation

I can afford the ones that ain't worth a dime

I save them for special occasions

And they pile up in the cupboard

But after careful consideration

I may keep them there some more

At times I feel the weight of all those sweaters

This junk that burdens my existence

I think I should get rid of those damned old sweaters

But I already gave up to their persistence
