On a path hidden during the day

The forest's path on it he must stay

Under moon light he sees them play

Not realising they lead him astray

Fog rising to his dismay

Unaware soon he'll be trapped as part of their feast day

He feels the adoration

From the illumination

Do they lead him to salvation

Is it a purgation

Through their levitation

The lights lead to suffocation

The fog grows incredibly dense

Slowly the traveller loses every sense

The orbs shine bright and intense

He realises this was all a pretence

One more step for them to commence

Then the traveller can't mount a defence

The lights keep him in suspense

Far too late he sees that they have gone on the offence
