Halfway There (Interlude) Lyrics

Today's date is Monday, February 12 2024, and I got a few things I'd like to say

Less than a month ago, I was depressed

I was hearbroken, I didn't know what to do with myself

It felt like everyone around me was winning while I was stuck losing

And the only time I could ever feel genuinely happy was when I was recording a song

Which at certain times got hard because I didn't know what to say

I didn't know what to sing about because all I could think about was what happened to me

And that's why I made this album

Because to me, this has been an opportunity to get all my thoughts and feelings about the situtation out in a healthy way

I didn't use smoking or drinking as a coping mechanism, which I'm proud to say that

I've been on this journey for a little bit now and I still got some work to do

But I'm starting to feel like myself again

I haven't felt that way in over six months

I still need to work on being able to trust people and allowing new people to come into my life

I definitely need to work on my anxiety when it comes to expressing myself

This is a long journey for me that I'm not even done with yet

It feels like I'm halfway there

And I'm ready for what comes next
