And teens are popping ecstasy

Instead, it's 16-year-olds overdosing on promethazine

They tryna heal a pain inside of them that has been lingering

But all they do instead is end up dead with family wondering

If everything she did for you was just a waste of mothering

Addiction is a tragic thing, that shit will have you smothering

Some alcohol or nicotine, your yearly family gathering

Is so much more important than that vape you got from Valerie

Not saying that has happened, hypothetically it's happening

Ur mixing Oxy with some Codeine adding Coke and now ur floating

Psychedelics got you trippin' you can't even seem to cope with

Every single piece of trauma made a wound your left it open

Bleeding out and feeling hopeless

16 years of age and homeless

All the teachers, many coaches

Tried to help you pushed them soulless

Now it's gotten bad

The withdrawals that you had

Are slowly gettin' worse

Your father found ur percs

And grabbed your mother's purse

Your parents panic rush to figure out if the shit u took was laced or what the chance of you surviving is

But by the time you arrive, they pull you out it's to late now
