Shimmering in moonlight, my shape a misty storm

Curious creatures humans are; so fragile their existence

They walk alone through the unknown, so foolishly persistent

"My pets" I muse as I watch them wander aimlessly

As the murmurs of the forest are overcome by the chatter of community

Disturbing creatures humans are

Ravenous and hungry

Their limitless consumption has worn out my generosity

Ungrateful things these fleshy bugs
