    Eagles flying high on invisible currents

    Effortlessly gliding in the clear blue sky

    Majestic birds, with no deterrents

    Stills my heart, brings a tear to my eye


    The Top of the Mountain's where I want to be

    Dirty dusty legs and ol' worn down shoes

    Add to the trials of my daily walk

    Squirrels run past me as I pay my dues

    I sip some water with a self pep-talk


    Being physically disabled, I feel triumphant that I overcame the obstacles of today as I made it to the top of the mountain; and I steady myself on the descent, knowing that I'll have to climb another mountain tomorrow.

    I make my way, with no deterrents

    Steadying my gait with determination in my eye
