As my darkness reaps

And the world around me sleeps

Still awake I dream

Of aspirations unseen

But when my eyes finally close

Then my attention goes

To this great majestic blow

That tomorrow's mind will slow

For it's only at the end

When truly we reflect

On the manner that we spent

This time we were blessed

So it's another mourning morning

There are no bars imprisoning

But my freedom I have squandered

I'm in a room with a monster

And sometimes it blocks the door

While I stay here on the floor

My will to challenge ignored

And my world stays unexplored

I need a transmutation to gold

In attempt thaw the cold

And escape the icy mold

Of habitual thoughts of auld

My spiritualist has foretold

How this process may unfold

How demons are controlled

And my sentence paroled

But I decry those who behold

When these demons are extolled

They may return manyfold
