The shining North Star was their guiding light

So now we put a star on the tree after we hang the lights

The angels spoke to the shepherds, told them to follow the star

Good news was waiting, and it wasn't too far

The shepherds followed the star, and they came to find

A baby in a feeding trough on that silent night

This child was born of a virgin, lying in a manger

Truly, this child was and is our Savior

That one night in Bethlehem is the reason we celebrate

God came to us that day, so we think of Him as we decorate

Yes, this season is cold, but He set a fire in our souls

He came down to give us hope, in 33 years He'd make us whole

He'd be tormented, whipped, and bruised

Die on a cross to pay our dues

But what we celebrate now is the baby that laid

What we celebrate now is the night that He came

That one night in Bethlehem
