The mushrooms at night out in the forest

Standing upright planted before us

Each one is bright and has different colors

Spotted and striped and beckons us forward

It's almost like as if they're holding hands

Planted here in the middle of this fantasy land

The creatures of the night clap and cheer for the midnight dance

With the moon rise everything has come alive

The trees that stretch to the sky with leaves and hanging vines

Everything you can see with ease the fireflies

Light up the landscape at the dead of night

The mushrooms at night standing up tall

Prepared for the fight even when they may fall

And sometimes there's no light but that's when they call

On each other for life and they'll be helped through it all

At first you may see those shrooms as they are now

But you've really seen nothing till you've looked under the ground

A thread runs between them it really is profound

They can sense each others feelings it's their own superpower

This way the mushrooms are never really alone

The hyphae connects them and they help each other grow

Wherever they stay they'll know they'll always have a home

When help is a million miles away they'll never be on their own
