Growing up's not easy I could drink to that

Nowadays it's harder each day I get older

To stay content and to stay brave

In a world where the people get colder,

I grew up too fast I know that much

I've been through shit though, trauma and such

And I try to learn, and try to gain

And I've doctored ways to dissolve all that pain.

But that doesn't make it go away for good

It just comes back later like I knew it would

And then I just spend my nights crying

If I say that I'm good then I'm lying.

'Cos I'm not good not stellar

It just feels like nothing's gonna get better

Sticks and stones make my bones fall apart

And words just completely shatter my heart,

One stiff wind and I'm vulnerable

And I feel like I'm worth nothing at all

Tired, overstimulated, falling to pieces

I'm just not good at knowing what peace is.

Not even sixteen and hurting this bad

It's exhausting to constantly be this sad

Desperately trying to understand

Why I always feel I'm left with the under hand,

Retracing my steps to try and find

Where I went wrong or when I lost my mind

And I feel selfish

What did I do to deserve this?

And you can call me sensitive

And you can say I'm far too broken

To be part of real life

I have far too much inner strife.

'Cos I'm not good not stellar
