Some days I look at the sky

I'm blessed in so many ways

But i'm still facing consequences

From mistakes that i've made

It's just a part of life and something that

The path to peace is never flat,

there's always mountains on the way

And I just say thank you

For all of the things that I get to see

Really on that broken home shit

Don't speak on it that much, that's probably why I smoke, shit

probably why my body isn't what it used to be

I practice self care but still, it's something that feels new to me

Mama told me I should carve the time to take some rest

But when i'm in the house too long, it makes me feel depressed

I need that sun, I need that shine, I need the trees

I need the light to gaze upon my face

Thats when I feel the most alive

I can't lie, I kinda miss having a partner by my side

To share these moments with

But I just feel the timing isn't right

So for now upon this journey

It's just me, myself and I

A gram or two up in my pocket

And my pen so I can write
