You see what happened to us was we were told that we couldn't

You can't, at an age where our world was our

Canvas and we could paint it all however we wanted

After we were told what we couldn't do

And instead told what we should do

We stopped painting and started to look for acceptance

We stopped living and started to feed our lives

Through the opinions of everyone else

We became dependent on things that eventually leave us

And then try to figure out what was the point after al

All this time that canvas became torn and bare

Lifeless and neglected

You realized you left what you loved most

Your canvas, that is almost unrecognizable now

However, through all the pain, rips, and wrinkles

You stopped listening, you stopped following others

And started painting again, back where you left off

And used what was around you to paint the rest of your canvas

Using all the tears and holes, the way you wanted to

Not because you were told to, but because wanted to create a masterpiece

But more importantly, your masterpiece

Create your own masterpiece you came into the world with

It is yours and no one can tell you how it should look

Tell them they can't tell you how it should look like

So that they might stop looking for acceptance

And go back to painting their own masterpiece

In the end together our canvas

All come together in God's gallery
