That Old Train

As I see that old train pull out of the station

I here her whistle blow past the mine

All the Ash cats climb up all over the carriages

Coz there’s fire down the line

Well she huffs and she puffs thru the darkness

You see her smoke stack and heat rising high

Out of the darkness the flames light the sky

That ole train spent all night carry water, to put out the flames

She retired at the turn of the century, with her name still on the box cab side

I watch the final fire of the engine, as it died
