My biggest fear is phasing out before I reach the finish

If minutes turn to months and I'm stuck in the same position

In a culture more concerned with attaining achievements

I find resting has been the biggest secret

Sealed inside a place that I can't penetrate

The twisted irony to see which is the first to break

A barter system which I'm refusing participation

Suffocating, while submerged under the flood of statements

Searching for the one attached to your name in which you're saying

I probably work too hard to hear it

I die a bit every time I see that

All of my achievements don't bring me closer to what I'm reaching for

At war because I'm tethered to my constant need for more

The final goal is to find joy within this middle ground
