I been on this road for a minute,

I'm, out in the ocean I'm looking for pieces…none of 'em fitting,

Whole lotta boats with a whole lotta fakers, I don't want nun of your business,

I'd, rather organically find who I'm planned to be, 'stead of just fronting my image,

So I'm on my own adventure…

Catch some waves of optimism, help unload the tension,

But in a storm, those same waves, might hold my stresses,

Knock me off my board, in the waters of old regressions,

Bad, bad...bad bad habits, I know the feeling,

Bouncing ba-ba-ba-back backwards, it go repeating,

So I'm pa-pa-paddling faster, until I beat it,

Then we laugh-laugh-laugh at the past and then get to leave it,

Man, wonderful feeling,

Hunting your demons,

Saying that "none of em beat me"

Nah I ain't there yet,

I gotta battle myself,

I ain't goin' front like it's easy,

Already know, my journey is long but…maybe that's some of the meaning,

All of the ventures,

Which you goin' put in you book, 'fore they read it,

Write my life just like a book, a stranger oughta read,

Still on chapter 1, tryna figure out who I'mma be,
