For those who have been told that we are not enough; told we're unworthy, unwanted and unloved, spending our lives trying to strive and hope one day we make the mark. The word of God says we are already greatly loved. Romans 5:8 states: but God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Which means before we chose God, God chose us. Before we achieved even one thing, He already loved us. While we were running away from Him, He was running after us. And some of us might wonder how could God love this? Does He see the shame of the things I did? Does He hear the thoughts inside my head? How could He love me now? And God says: I loved you then. I loved you while. I loved you while you were half living and giving yourself to others who did not deserve you; while you were lying and living a two-faced life to those around you; while you were living to please people that had no right to define you, exhausting yourself trying to be enough for a love I already have for you. And I sent my son Jesus to show you, you are more than you've been told. You're not too broken. You're not forgotten. You are greatly loved. You don't have to pretend or put on a show, and you don't have to run. God's love is so good. You can't define it. It covers your past. So you can't rewind it and play back the scenes He's already wiped clean. He forgives and sets free. So your debt is gone. He loves you right now and He loved you all along. And all you must do is receive it. Stop trying to earn a gift that's already been given. Say out loud to Jesus, He's your lord and Savior, and believe in Him. Tell Him what you've been holding in. Turn away from your sins, and you're forgiven. And as you keep getting closer to Him, you'll see you don't have to carry the burdens you've been carrying anymore. Instead you can take a deep breath and live as the greatly loved child of God you really are.
