It all started

When I was in high school

My friends Randahl and Richie bought the CD

Friday nights hitting town to that nu-metal sound

Screaming teens, 60 miles per hour like a roller coaster

They're bound to be around

But I found a few fans between the cracks

We bonded over the new Meteora tracks

Saving paycheck scrounging quarters and dimes to see them

We caught them live a few times

Hitting up free shows to catch their vibe on

Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live

Saw them at the Cypress Hill Smoke Out tour

The only four kids out there that were sober

Soon our college days were over, adulthood in sight

They hit us one more time with Minutes to Midnight
