Atonement by blood for your sins

Chosen from the tribe of the Levites

Performed by the anointed high priest

He shall prepare a bull as a sin offering for himself

One for Adonai

The other for Azazel (Leviticus 16:8)

To the desert for the fierce might of God (Azazel)

A symbol of departure

Departure of the sins

He shall prepare two handfuls of incense

For the cloud to cover the mercy seat

Bring it inside the veil

So that the priest shall not die

Take the blood, from the bull

Sprinkle its blood

On the side and front of the ark (seven times)

Kill the goat

Take its blood

Atonement for transgressions

For the life of the flesh is in the blood

And blood is given to us

As atonement for your souls

For the price of sin is death

And death comes with the shedding of blood

He's come for us

To pay a ransom we can't afford

A price too high to pay

To cancel our debt of sin

Lamb of God

The purest blood

A sacrifice foretold in the rites of old

Became a curse

Death on the cross

To liberate us who don't deserve

A superior sacrifice that annuls the old covenant

Let us be covered in His blood

No longer going back to the old ways
