Welcome to my contradictions

and maze of conflicting thoughts

It’s always hard to know your mind from the values you were taught

An introvert in the entitlement age

I’m full of peace and reactive rage

what i want is more and less than what I need

Should I learn how to not sweat

those little things that test my zen?

You see my smoke alarm’s set for high alert

and it seems I still can’t count to ten

and breath away the queues and crowds

and those driving on my roads

these are not real problems I tell myself

but I’m still prone to overload

I want memories that make me smile

and to laugh the night away

I seek the richness of a vibrant life

but it’s hard when you’re an INFJ

and over think and catastrophise

until I tie myself in knots

and so every day I must remind myself

of what I have rather than what I have not

Simple joys that soothe my soul or push myself to reach some goal?

A focused master of impressive skill or a jack of all who knows what’s real?

A search for truths both big and small or accept this means nothing at all?
