I waited on the Lord He turned to me and heard my cry

He lifted me up from the pit out of the mud and mire

He set me on the rock and gave my feet a place to stand

Put a new song in my mouth I will praise him with this hymn

Deliverance, I cannot restrain my tongue to shout

Deliverance, you have proved your steadfast love

And though the enemy surrounds

You make haste my God to help

You are deliverance

And blessed is the one who makes the lord our god his trust

Not turning to the proud or those who follow after lies

You multiplied oh lord my god your wondrous works and thoughts

I will proclaim and tell of them your countless deeds for us.
