يا روعةً سلبت شغافَ القلبِ في ترنيمِها

Oh balm, how you have soothed the heart of the broken, suffering one

يا بلسمًا كم طيّبت قلبَ الكسيرِ العاني

In your vocabulary, souls whispered when they were tortured

في مفرداتكِ هامتِ الأرواحُ حينَ استَعذبت

Literally, sincere words, eloquence, and meanings

حرفًا وقولًا صادقًا وفصـاحةً ومعاني

How can the praise come if you are the one I mean?

كيفَ المديحُ يجيءُ إن كنتِ التي أعنِي بها

You are the seas, and you are the best pearls and corals

أنتِ البحورُ ومنكِ خيرُ الـدرِّ والمرجانِ

Arabic, I wish my poetry would be enough?

عربيّةٌ يا ليتَ شعري هَل ستوفي كلمةٌ؟

We have bestowed upon you the jurisprudence of the divine method!

و لقد نهلنـا فيكِ فقهَ المنهجِ الربّاني!

When we recite the verse, we gain happiness and guidance

فالآيُ إذ نتلوهُ نغترفُ السعادةَ والهدى

His eloquence exceeded any statement

وفصاحةُ في القولِ فاقتْ فيهِ كلّ بيانِ

Or is it not enough that you were honored when...

أو ليسَ يكفِي أنّكِ شُرّفتِ فخرًا حينما

You were the end, and in you was revealed the decisive Qur’an!

كنتِ الختامَ وفيكِ أٌنزلَ محكمُ القرآنِ!

The Arabic of my heart and soul, my letters, and my tongue

عربيّةُ قلبي وروحي، أحرفي ولِساني

Al-Dhad is my pride in that I truly belong to Al-Dhad

الضّادُ فخري أنّني للضادِ حقًا أنتمي

And with it, my intention began

و بهِ ابتدأتُ قصديتي
