She was a teen that used to go to church with mom and dad

But mom and dad Had a marriage that was really bad

And what's so sad it that her parents used to be so glad

The years had past the dad had packed a bag and ran with that

He left their mother, the sister, the brother

The marriage went under, he found pleasure in other things

The liquor bottle was a model that would make him sing

A drunken mindset is a trap that people struggle to see

Divorce had followed, mom and her father would no longer be

The judge had settled that there would be joint custody

The teen girl would cry at night

Two kids, her parents still split, it's almost like the devil got exactly what he wanted to get

That night, she had a prayer list

He became a drunk, violent so resistant

She realized that the consequences resulting from their decisions

Would affect the kids, would affect their minds, that infectious sin, would infect their lives

She decided to make a prayer list

The doctor said a drunk driver hit her she probably wont make it

He went right to the Savior, and asked Him for His favor

His daughter got healed an answer to his prayers

He re-proposed, and got remarried to ex-wife

The wife looked at her husband and asked what changed in him
