Enchanted by philosophies of man

Rather than the Father's plan

Believing the traditional

The elemental principles of life

Disregarding Jesus Christ

Be sure you're not submitting to

Religious, legalistic rules and lies

Adding works to faith in Christ

Do not believe the mystical

Ascetic or angelical demands

Imagined by the mind of man

We are liberated now in Christ

Dead to hollow notions that the world considers wise

A shadow of the substance, found in Christ

The head, from which the body grows

A growth that God supplies

If we have died with Christ to this

Then why do we ourselves submit in vain

"Do not handle, touch, or taste"

These ineffective human rules

The prideful righteousness of fools, the flesh

Suppressing truth in wickedness

These practices appear to be of wisdom and of worth
