Bez is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. His alternative sound blends pop, soul, rock, and afro to create a unique groove.
His Debut album ‘Super Sun’ has achieved international critical acclaim; rated among the Top 10 World Music Albums of 2011, by the US’ Boston Globe. This has propelled Bez to other first-rate features in Vogue, Essence.com, Rolling Stone Magazine, BBC, MTV Hall of Fame and many more.
Bez has performed in a wide array of venues in Africa, USA, and the UK. He debuted in the US at the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX and scored major showcases at iTunes stores in New York and Los Angeles. Globacom signed Bez as an ambassador in 2013 for four years.
With the November 2016 release of his sophomore album ‘Gbagyi Child’, Bez takes you on a journey of a body of work with local recordings all around Nigeria to create an authentic Nigerian signature. He created the Bez Live Concert Festival series that started in 2016, and has pulled in thousands in all three events.
In June 2018, Bez was selected as one of 11 out of 600 applications from around the world for the MIDEM music accelerator in Cannes, France. He is passionate about building the entertainment ecosystem in Nigeria through mentorship and education in the business of music for young creatives.
