Rinyu

Professionally known as Rinyu, Ngah Rinyu is a Cameroonian female Afro Pop, Afro-jazz singer and songwriter. Many of Rinyu songs become very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay. She is also a World Music Singer with Akumba Music She Popped out into the music Scene in Cameroon in October 2019 and instantly made a huge impressive on her fans. A Uniquely beautiful Voice that comes with a sweet and soulful touch.

She was born on February 8th, 1997 in Koutaba, Foumban in Cameroon's West Region. Her father, a Cameroonian soldier, died while she was young, leaving her mother to raise her and her five siblings as orphans.

For primary school, she went to Sapienta Foumbot, and for high school, she went to GBHS in downtown Bamenda. She travelled to Dchang after high school to study modern English letters at the University of Dchang. In 2016, she graduated and relocated to Yaoundé, where she is pursuing a music career.

Career
She had been singing from 9 when she got to Bamenda but her highlight came later in form in secondary school when she represented her school music clubs in regional events around the Bamenda municipality.

She later joined an NGO catering for underprivileged kids called Mother of Hope Cameroon (MOHCAM) as a performer, entertaining and encouraging orphans with music. These experiences forged her into fine performer and lyricist.

She was involved in Gospel musical concerts there in Dchang and was decorated with talent show awards there. She graduated and moved to Yaoundé in 2016 were she currently pursues a career music. In 2018 the Afro Jazz and World Music label Akumba Music, spotted her at a music festival in Yaoundé. Akumba Music will go on to sign her in February 2019.

She currently has recorded and performed 5 singles with Akumba music (Where you dey, Marry Me, Duduke, Stay with me for Christmas and Chakara Love)

She burst onto the music industry in late 2019 and immediately drew in admirers from all across Africa and the world with her passionate vocals.

Her experience as a singer with Mother of Hope Cameroon (MOHCAM), entertaining and encouraging orphans via song, shaped her into a lyrically powerful and undeniable figure in the Cameroon music industry.

In 2018, she was discovered by Akumba Music, an Afro Jazz and World Music Record Label located in Houston, Texas, USA, who signed her to a recording contract in February 2019. She released the singles "Where you Dey?" and "Marry Me" the same year.

Continuing her meteoric journey to fame, she started out 2020 with her smash track "Chakara Love," which had people raving about her great skill. Rinyu subsequently followed up with another hit single, "Dreamy Eyes," which is presently trending in Cameroon. She is without a doubt one of Cameroon's most promising young artists, with hit after hit sweeping the country.
