Singer, songwriter, musician F.A (F Dot A) was born Faquama Anthony in Monrovia, Liberia. F.A used music as a release to survive the brutal civil war in Liberia.
During the war, F.A. used music as a way to stay calm and not worry about the things that were going on around him. His experiences in Liberia and the US have provided the foundation for his musical emotions.
F.A doesn’t think of himself as only an artist, but also a man with a voice and a pen. In his own words, "Everyday life and seeing what other people go through also helps me when I write. I feel that I can connect with my audience better when they feel like I'm speaking to them".
Moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota USA at an early age, F.A has opened for artists such as Freddie Jackson, KC & JoJo, Chico Debarge, Cherrell, Donnell Jones, Anthony Hamilton, Too Short, Pimp C (RIP) establishing his fan base.
In 2015, he expanded his horizon in Nigeria which enabled him to explored other genre of music on the Nigerian scene. In 2016, he combined his talents with one of Nigeria’s top female artist, Chidinma, for a top charting Collabo titled “ Desire”. This collaboration give birth to a sold out concert in Liberia on March 15, 2016 in partnership with MTV Base Africa.
He has been nominated for several awards including the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA).
