Abbas Khadim Al Rassoul Akar popularly known as Akbess is a Senegalese rapper. Born in Rebeuss, in the city of Dakar, Senegal, to a father of Lebanese origin and a Senegalese mother, the young Abbas grew up in the commune of Parcelles Assainies. Career
Akbess made his debut in Senegalese Rap Hip Hop from the age 11 with two very successful titles. Thirteen years later, after having gone through various criminal stories and family problems, he decides to break the silence and returns to the game. Akbess worked on himself onward and today he has carved a niche for himself. The singer has featured so many top artists, also he has produced so many artists with each songs being top hits on releases."

He has since had a successful career with a release of 7 albums 20 songs "Independence," "Jem," "Xar Kanam," "Karma," "R.A.S," and "Nioko Mom." Among others. His most streamed album "Xar Kanam" has seen massive gains of streams on Boomplay with over 367.2k of streams since its premier in the music platform.

His second most streamed album was "Karma" with 116.7k streams. He has also been blessed to do a collabo with the best afrobeat artists in Nigeria "Mist Cash, One Lyrical and Elzo Jamdong" among others on the single Photo Ma and other songs.
