Born Magne Noumedem Annie Liliane on April 18, 2003, Lili Anoma hails from the West Province of Cameroon. She grew up in Bonaberi, Douala, and attended Alfred Saker Secondary School in Douala, later obtaining a BTS in Journalism and Mass Communication from Golfe University in Douala.
At age 17, she entered Mützig Star Competition and was disqualified. Relentless, she entered the first edition of MTN National Zik contest in 2022 and won the competition.
She was discovered by singer Wax Dey while performing a cover on Facebook. In November 2022, Wax Dey offered her a contract with Calabash Music, including an international distribution deal with Open Mic Productions of South Africa.
Inspired by singers such as Mariam Makeba, Charlotte Dipanda and Ayra Starr, Lili Anoma hopes to use her talent to export Cameroonian and African culture worldwide.
Lili Anoma gained popularity after her Mashup cover of Rush x People by Ayra Starr went viral on Youtube, drawing her a growing legion of fans worldwide. Her voice has been described as unique, explosive and exotic, with a wide vocal range boasting beautiful high and low tones.
Lili Anoma has created her own unique sound which blends Afrobeats, R&B and Amapiano, with powerful soulful vocals.
Her music deals with the themes of love and motivation.
She has already recorded collaborations with Bongo Beats of South Africa, as well as her label mates Wax Dey and Francis Slo. Lili anoma presents her debut singles: BAD and FALLING, two afrobeats/R&B love ballads that showcase her rare musicality and vocal dexterity....more
