Richard Martin

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Richard’s first introduction to music was nothing more than an accident, when he swapped gifts with a cousin during Christmas thus getting his first acoustic guitar at age 7; however, it would not be until later where some of his friends started learning the instrument that he would find a real passion for music. After learning his first chords with a friend and a different cousin, he began having lessons and forming his first bands. After a few years living in sunny Southern California, and detour playing football for a couple seasons in college, Richard decided to move to Nashville to finish music school and completely immerse himself reaching for his dreams in Music City, TN
While multitasking between performing , writing and producing or music (and even working in the business side of music), Richard has become a clear example of what it means to be “the whole package”, earning the respect of music professionals both in America and his home country of Brazil. Not scared to take chances, Richard’s music aims to mix the best of both cultures, bringing both the polish of the American record industry and excitement of Brazilian Music, aiming to break paradigma and become a true international superstar.
