Tom Zeta is one of the most exciting new live acts emerging from the Dutch scene. The DIYnamic and Einmusika releasing talent started his career as a drummer and incorporates live drums into his performance of highly danceable and rhythmic melodic techno.
Zeta picked up the drumsticks at the tender age of 9 playing in several bands in different genres. At 15 he started experimenting on his computer, beginning to explore electronic music. Trying many genres, his love for techno music was most captivating.
Meanwhile, his love for drumming has shifted to a love for synthesizers and other analogue gear. Tom’s tracks are characterized by their spacey atmosphere, melodic and industrial fragments. He is always in search of new electrifying sounds making his tracks slightly eccentric.
In recent years, Tom Zeta has created and perfected his live set. The unique ear catcher in his set is the incorporation of live drum pads bringing a live and dynamic element to the stage. It’s his complex and funky rhythms that set him apart from his peers and leave every dancefloor in a hypnotic state of movement.
In 2017 he caught the attention of Solomun who plays his demos and releases a lot. Shortly after, Tom signed his Cargo EP to Diynamic earning Zeta support from the likes of Pete Tong and Joris Voorn. The future is looking bright for the Dutch live act with many festivals and releases in the calendar....more
