Niels Docter enters the world of electronic music in 2009 and experiments with all kinds of styles and genres. He releases ep’s under alias Doctr and starts playing Dj-sets in his hometown Amsterdam. After a couple of years with amazing shows and very diverse releases he plays Mysteryland and Solar festival in the hot summer of 2012.
After this summer, Niels decides Doctr needs a break so he and two of his close friends start techno group FLANNELS “Nur Fur Echte Manner”. This act soon grows to be a very popular Dj-trio known for their obscure shows and a lot of dance floor (and behind the decks) nudity.
In 2015 Niels welcomes back his alter ego Doctr and creates a 30 minute long Italo Disco Space Adventure for Amsterdam Dance Event. This science fiction radioplay, that follows space traveller Felix on his quest for another world, premieres in a sold out Mixtree Cinema in OT301 on the first evening of ADE.
Shortly after Niels starts releasing and Dj-ing again. His italo flavored releases on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Silhouette Music and Copenhagen based Music For Dreams, receive a lot of love which fuels Doctr’s engine with more passion to keep creating and playing....more
