Dregs One

Dregs One is from San Francisco, but not the San Francisco that we know today. Before the city was home to billion-dollar startups, $10 avocado toast, and sprawling luxury developments, it was a haven for the underground counterculture. As a hyphy teenager wandering those foggy streets, Dregs became engulfed in a community influenced by hippies, activists, rock stars, street hustlers, and poets. Graffiti and hip-hop became his creative outlet.

Since his teenage years, Dregs One has never stopped practicing his art form. Add a little Bay Area out-the-trunk hustle in the mix, and that's the recipe for a creative mastermind. Independently producing his own albums, mixtapes, and compilations, Dregs has been a staple of the San Francisco underground scene. Having worked with a variety of Bay Area artists, from the Jacka to the Grouch, Dregs' sound reaches a diverse audience. He's also taken his sound international, performing and releasing multiple projects with Tokyo-based produced Ill Sugi.

Showing no signs of slowing down in 2020, Dregs One is starting the year with the release of his first instrumental album, "Ten Thousand Hours." The album's title is a reference to some of the work put into the project - the beats were made over the course of a decade, representing Dregs' growth from an energetic youngster to a seasoned veteran.
