In 2016, he set his sights on the trance world with the intention of creating hi-energy, melodic, uplifting, psy and tech trance. Asteroid continues to gain traction with rapid momentum and has been a regular feature on some of the world's finest radio shows including A State Of Trance by Armin Van Buuren and Future Sound of Egypt with Aly & Fila.
2019 has seen Matt perform in worldwide destinations such as Canada for Insomniac's Dreamstate, Thailand for Asia's biggest trance festival, Unkonscious and in The Netherlands for Luminosity, Europe's biggest trance festival.
