KENI a native from Los Angeles is an American singer, songwriter, poet and musician. KENI composed her first song on a yellow note pad from Costco at the age of seven, when she was finished she ushered her entire family to the living room and performed the song. She started learning the piano at the age of eight, followed by violin and eventually guitar.
Her parents divorced when she was five years old. Her parents dysfunction and at times tumultuous relationship guided her to pour her pain into journaling which eventually emerged into songwriting.
Her talent was recognized early when she was in elementary school. She would often be that child that always got that small solo in the Christmas Winter Sing. She knew from those performances that singing was the dream job for her. “ When we had school performances, in my mind everyone in the audience was there to see me in concert. No one else mattered”.
After KENI graduated from high school, she was accepted to several universities including Parson’s School of Design, which she was also awarded a very handsome scholarship. She turned down every offer. Choosing instead to embark on the path of a musical career.
When asked how a typical day is for her she simply replies “I wake up, make coffee, play guitar or keys, write and sing. its my daily ritual, I have been writing songs in my bedroom for as long as I can remember, now I am ready to share my songs with the world.”
