Bils (Built in Lagos State) is an Afrorap/Afropop artist, born in Lagos, Nigeria. At the age of 12, Bils found his love for entertainment, influenced by Fela Kuti, Tupac, Mystikal and Kanye west at 16, he began writing his own music and creating his own beats. He then moved to the United States to further his education. He has been nominated four times for the Nigerian Entertainment Award, performed at SXSW, opened up for most of the top African musical acts and has landed a song with international Afrobeat artist Olamide with only a few years in the industry under his belt.
In 2019, Bils released a 7-track EP titled 'Mans On The Move' which charted #1 on the iTunes US world charts. With a fusion of Afro beats, 808’s, soul lifting melodies and hard rap. Bils unique heartbeat rapping is sure to instill vibes and confidence. The first song on the track, Spiritual, is a very elegant entrance into the project. It skillfully reminds us of our Fela past while introducing us to the AfroFusion that is the future. Mans on the move is engaging, catchy, sweet and hard- likely to grab the attention of any music lover. It takes you out of Africa and plunges you into the heart of a Houston / London vibe and then back to Lagos. Enjoy.
