Born Natasja Saad, and also known as Little T, Danish reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop star Natasja was born on October 31, 1974, in Copenhagen. Born of Danish and Sudanese parents, Natasja began performing at the young age of 13, singing and doing DJ appearances. She soon released some of her first solo work, including the "Cover Me" 12" single and the "Summercute" 7" in 2004, which led to the release of her first solo full-length, Release, in 2005. In 2006, she entered and won the Irie FM Big Break Reggae Competition in Jamaica -- no mean feat for one born in the less tropical climes and attitudes of Denmark -- earning her a record deal and a spot at the Reggae Sunfest that year. She was also a bit of a dabbler in acting, making her screen debut in the comedy Fidibus. Natasja continued to release hit dancehall record after hit record, but -- tragically -- she was killed in a car accident in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine, Jamaica, on June 24, 2007.
