David Longoria

Born at a very early age, David Longoria sang before he could speak. At six months, he was singing scales with his aunt Betty, an opera singer. He learned to play the trumpet at age 10, where the local Salvation Army taught him to read music. He impressed trumpet icons Al Hirt and Dizzy Gillespie and toured with many stars of jazz, rock and R&B. David learned to write songs from gospel great Andrae Crouch, who became a mentor and introduced him to the great Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and many others who also mentored along the way. As a songwriter, record producer, and artist David has performed and worked with many of the top artists of our generation. His new album The Journey combines his improvisation and songwriting with EDM, jazz and pop. His current single Playground features Dallas Lovato and remix/production by Robert Eibach. David wrote and performed the theme song for the upcoming movie Bloodline: Now Or Never, titled “Now Or Never” coming out this month. It features David’s singing & trumpet with featured artist April Diamond. The movie is screening for the first time in Los Angeles in response to great interest in the story as well as the powerful song. It’s set in Africa where actor/writer/producer Tariku Bogale turns in a powerful performance in a fight for what’s right against poachers killing the endangered Rhinos for profit to fund terrorism.
