Joyce Omondi

Joyce Omondi is a Kenyan gospel singer born in Nairobi, Kenya. Her main focus is gospel music and has been active in the industry since 2010. Many of Joyce's Songs became very popular and trendy on social media in line with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.

Career
Joyce Omondi was born in Nairobi and studied there before proceeding to Knox College in the US between 2006 and 2010 where she majored in both Economics and Integrated International Studies. She learnt to sing and play piano and started performing early in Church gatherings. After returning to Kenya, Joyce released a series of gospel singles and collaborations including "Conqueror" and "Kweli".

She dedicated Kweli to her Dad who survived the tragic 1998 bombing blast at the American Embassy in Nairobi. Apart from music, Joyce also co-hosted a popular gospel show "Rauka Gospel Music show" on Citizen TV and quitted in 2013 to pursue a Master's degree in International Development at the Georgetown University in Washington.

Achievements
In 2013, Joyce won the Groove Awards for Video of the Year category. Back in the states, Joyce became a sophomore Senator and a Knox Ambassador while in college. She managed to be part of the Harambee Choir in Knox College.
