RUE aka Ruvimbo Karimazondo was born July 12, 1992, in Harare, Zimbabwe. She fell in love with music at an early age and eventually found herself drawn to R&B and Pop music.
In 2012, in Malaysia, she won a singing competition called "Musical Icons," which, in her words were both an enlightened and humbling experience. This prompted her to pursue her music further while completing her business degree in France.
Fast forward to 2015, Zimbabwe's RUE completed her degree and emerged performing alongside artists such as SHASHA at local festivals and music circuits. In mid 2016, she began work on her EP collaborating with various artists to bring about a cumulation of her work over the years.
RUE feels music best expresses the spectrum of human experiences and brings out vulnerability and strength, something you can sense with her powerhouse vocals and shes to create music that people will easily connect to....more
