Zak Lee's music was born in a dark lounge in front of mundane TV. After divorce and being utterly....utterly alone... With a history of rock, pop, prog it's hard to imagine this music but Zak Lee also worshipped JMJ and Nero, plus Clan of Xymox . He used to listen to War of the Worlds at 16rpm through an effects loop just to get to sleep at night. Released during COVID 19 it wasn't planned but since launch Zak is writing new music on walls and cheap laptops taking inspiration from the twists and turns of a troubled yet optimistically insane state of mind. The debut album Go was an experriment in non pop self exploration. Soul in My Body is a more direct dance track flooded with a moody guitar and steady progression. The next 2 singles will be different again. Unashamed retro vibes and earworm catches loom!...more
