Little Trouble Kids is a herky jerky minimalistic noisepop band.
In a rowdy bar in Antwerp LTK was discovered by Millionaire-frontman Tim Vanhamel, who dragged them to the dEUS-owned Vantage Point Studio (actually, without dEUS knowing about this…) and produced their debut album ‘LITTLE TROUBLE KIDS’. In one day eight tracks were slammed on tape, adding just a few wacko overdubs. Pascal Deweze mixed the album… also on that very same day.
LTK’s debut was released early March 2010: the album rushes by like a speed train and has a highly unique sound and a distinct punky atmosphere. First single ‘90’s Dream’, accompanied by a DIY-stop motion videoclip, was picked up by national radio station Studio Brussel. ‘LITTLE TROUBLE KIDS’ was widely praised, i.a. by Belgian legend Arno who named it his favorite album of the year.
In the meantime Micha Volders (El Guapo Stuntteam, Vermin Twins) took the band under his wings and in February 2012 ‘ADVENTURELAND’ was released, an album that would capture the fierce and unrelenting live energy of the duo. The recipe remained unchanged, but Volders made LTK sound bigger and bolder. How audacious ‘ADVENTURELAND’ might sound, the album was still very well received in the Belgian mainstream press (Humo, De Standaard) and daring singles like ‘Feed on Love’ and ‘Straight A’s were again eagerly picked up by Studio Brussel.
In 2014 third album 'Haunted Hearts' was released, the most personal statement by the unrelenting adventurous couple......more
