The Spirit Sings

Somewhere in the darkness, a wolf howls in the night

And the trail gets dark and lonely, and the heart beats fast with fright

Then the moon slides from behind the clouds, and the snow turns silver white, and the spirit sings

And in my soul you are my brother, and our heart sing the same tune

Where once there was just darkness you became the moon

Where once there was just sorrow, the heart is given wings, there will be light tomorrow, and the spirit sings

Now there’s a spring wind from the ocean, and the night has turned to day, and the heart’s no longer lonely

And the eyes have seen the way

And there are flowers on the desert, and the sky’s a summer blue, and the spirit sings because of you
