Let these words be a declaration of intent

To the vultures surrounding my head

I'm tired of waiting for winter to end

Till the last leaf now has fallen to the ground

Hopefully one day I'll come back here to see the trees green again

I know I've made mistakes

But I'm trying my best to be a better person

I won't let who should be my friend bring me down again

I've suffered too much just for pleasure

It's time for me to turn the lights on

Like a playwright
