Relapse

Ever so slowly, pieces of familiar flesh surface in the waves

With reckless abandon, i dive overboard and gather each one

If i resist the gaze, i'll make it through the night

Only to melt my eyes with the daybreak's first light

And so i'll go on blind to all the damage caused by seeds i've sown with selfishness

When despair leads to scarlet tears, i'll return the corpse to triton

In minefields of memories, i'll bid my farewell, silenced by exploding dreams

Again one day i'll hear the siren's song calling me to the polluted sea
