Grendel

Impossible deeds that I have done, battles lost that I have won

From blackest night I bring the day - I was born to keep fell beasts at bay

I've swam across the open sea with only armor to protect me

I swam on for seven days and seven sea beasts did I slay

Grendel comes, and Grendel goes, he stalks the halls where mead once flowed

Rules at night through death and fear

But that shall stop, 'cause I am here

I need not shield nor suit of mail, I'll best this fight with tooth and nail

Like the fiend I'll go unarmed, I need no sword to do him harm

I possess the strength of gods, I'll crush his bones like that of sod
