A Life Less Lived

Safe in the light... of my own mind... I subject myself to endless pain

Is defeat worth it?..all the bitter cost, place the blame game onto me

For every breath... that I exhale..there is no fear... of the end that nears

Would I let it..let it all through... slips from my hands, the call for defeat here lies

A distant memory, of what was ever good. All that's left with is nothing more

A language spoken, cries of sorrow, hidden within all that ever remains

Innocence, torn within, dealt with the facts of life, to have destroyed

A feeble speck of sorrow, the lack of feeling inside

Like the face that finally turned cold, leave it all behind
