In The Summers

I started working before I was thirteen; used to busk on the docks, down on Gimli Beach

Made enough every single day, to go to G & C, maybe rent a movie

This was summer every night and day, every day and night, it was a dream to me

I started working before I was thirteen; in a little prowler camper by the private beach

When I grow up I'll scream and yell

I strike and I strum this guitar

I'll play and I'll play until I die

That's a promise I made, since the day you were gone, oh yeah

A little older now, but not too wise, I keep strumming this guitar for some lonely eyes

Invite some friends down to moonlight bay, have a couple of brews, go swim in the sea
