I remember days when I can barely sleep

I'd stay up late and try and mastermind a dream

I'd be sitting there in the dark, not scared

Wondering what it feels like to be superman but

It's hard to believe that my wings would unfurl

Fly, shoot lasers and save a pretty girl

Before she falls from the top of a building to hit the floor

This is while I'm wide-eyed laying in my bedroom bored

I could save my Mary Jane or find my Lois Lane

But I'm still laying here waiting for my powers to appear
