Jutting out six feet on the sidewalk sleeping in a bag

Under the awning, holding a cup and staring blankly into space

Standing on the corner waving and screaming like a hag

Under the overpasses and on the riverside where you can make a place

Scribbling down today's narrative on a piece of corrugated

Can't remember if this is the real one

What's the matter with deception when your next meal isn't promised?

I run around all day collecting cans

And eating other people's trash
